Must be on what they call the stones? There is a corking swim further down opposite a big weeping willow Tree, you climb over a fence on the york side, always a barbel to be had if there's a bit of coloured water showing

The stones starts in the first swim on the bend where the tallest tree is on the picture, thats where its shallower close in and very hard to get a bankstick in. I have done well in the swim you mentioned but fishing from the park side of the fence. I have considered fishing over the fence as there is more slack water there when the river is up as the main flow is towards the far bank there. (The Village section starts there) Regards Dave
